Tender Issued for Alternative Power System in Damascus

The General Supply Authority in Syria has announced a new, urgent tender for the supply and installation of an alternative power system. The system is intended for the operations room at the Kabbas building, serving the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management.

This initiative is part of broader efforts by the relevant authorities to strengthen service infrastructure and ensure the continuity of essential operations within critical facilities. The objective is to modernize energy systems in vital centers to ensure performance efficiency during emergency situations.

The tender has been assigned the identification number 123-E-2026. The deadline for submitting bids is set for the end of the official working day on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Applicants are required to meet all financial, legal, and technical conditions outlined in the tender documents.

Interested parties must submit their bids in three separate envelopes—containing supporting documentation, the technical offer, and the financial offer—housed within a single sealed envelope addressed to the General Supply Authority. The Authority emphasized that any bids lacking the required initial deposit receipt, valued at 756,200 Syrian pounds, will be strictly rejected.

Contracts awarded under this tender will be subject to rigorous conditions. A final deposit amounting to 10% of the total contract value must be paid within 15 days of the contract being awarded. The project implementation period is set at 30 calendar days, beginning from the official commencement date. In the event of delays in supply or implementation, a financial penalty of 0.001 of the total value of the materials will be imposed for each day of delay, provided that the total penalty does not exceed 20% of the contract value.

Those interested in participating can obtain the tender documents from the General Supply Authority headquarters in Damascus for a fee of 50 US dollars, with an electronic payment option available via the “Sham Cash” system. Participants are required to maintain the validity of their bids for 60 calendar days, starting from the day following the close of the submission period.
