Syrian Foreign Minister Arrives in Manama for Official Visit

Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, arrived in the Bahraini capital, Manama, on Sunday. The visit is part of a diplomatic tour intended to advance bilateral relations and coordinate positions between the two countries.

Upon his arrival at Manama International Airport, Minister Al-Shaibani was received by Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. A formal welcoming ceremony was held for the Syrian minister and his accompanying delegation.

The Media and Communications Department of the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stated that the visit is aimed at strengthening the bonds of joint cooperation between Syria and the Kingdom of Bahrain. Minister Al-Shaibani is scheduled to engage in a series of discussions with his Bahraini counterpart and other senior officials. These talks will focus on exploring ways to develop bilateral ties across various areas of mutual interest, with the goal of serving both nations’ interests and bolstering joint Arab action.

This diplomatic mission follows a period of intensified activity for Minister Al-Shaibani. Last Thursday, he met in the city of Aqaba with Ayman Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan. Those discussions were centered on reviewing Syrian-Jordanian relations and exploring avenues for their enhancement, in addition to addressing several regional issues of mutual concern.

This current diplomatic movement is part of the Syrian Foreign Ministry’s broader strategy to increase openness within the Arab region and strengthen communication channels with neighboring countries. Through these meetings, both sides aim to establish practical frameworks for the activation of joint agreements and to collectively address the prevailing challenges facing the region.
