These discussions aim to support Syria’s economic and financial reform paths while establishing a foundation for recovery and sustainable development.
During the sessions, both sides explored steps to resume the activities of regional financial and development institutions in Syria. This move is intended to pave the way for financing critical infrastructure projects. The parties also reviewed prospects for future cooperation with the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD). He emphasized the importance of accelerating the review process for projects proposed for funding to ensure that targeted development goals are achieved. Furthermore, Al-Jadaan welcomed the proposal to establish a trust fund for reconstruction in Syria, describing it as an essential tool for supporting recovery and rebuilding efforts in the country.
In a related context, Minister Bernia held a separate meeting with the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development, Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, along with senior officials from the Fund.
