Israeli Forces Detain Individuals During Incursions in Quneitra

The southern Quneitra countryside witnessed significant military activity by Israeli forces on Saturday, involving incursions, search operations, and raids on civilian homes. These actions are described by local authorities as a fresh breach of the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement.

According to field reports, an Israeli military force consisting of more than 10 vehicles entered the Al-Razzaniya and Abu Madhura farms. During the operation, troops searched a number of civilian residences in the area. The forces detained two individuals; while one was subsequently released, the other remains in custody.

This incident follows a series of similar incursions in the region. On Friday, an Israeli military force entered the western side of the Al-Razzaniya farm, where they opened fire at livestock herders to prevent them from carrying out their work before withdrawing from the area.

In a related development, military movements were also observed in the western countryside of Daraa. A force consisting of two vehicles entered the Wadi al-Raqad area earlier today. These ground movements were accompanied by intensive reconnaissance flights by Israeli aircraft over the western region overlooking the Yarmouk Basin.

These operations are part of a broader pattern of violations reported in southern Syria, which include security raids on homes, the leveling of agricultural land, repeated shelling, and restrictions on the movement of civilians and herders. Syrian authorities maintain that these measures constitute a flagrant violation of the 1974 disengagement agreement, asserting that such actions are null and void with no legal standing under international law.

Syria continues to call upon the international community and United Nations organizations to fulfill their responsibilities regarding these violations. Damascus is urging pressure on Israel to halt its military actions and withdraw fully from the areas it has entered in southern Syria, reaffirming its sovereign right to confront actions that target the security of civilians and the stability of villages and towns in the Quneitra and Daraa provinces.
