Two Dead, Scores Injured in Traffic Accidents and Fires Across Syria

Syrian Civil Defense teams have reported a surge in emergency incidents over the past 24 hours, responding to a series of traffic accidents and fires across various Syrian provinces that have resulted in casualties and material damage.
According to official data released by the teams, 15 separate traffic accidents occurred throughout the country, leaving two people dead and 27 civilians with varying degrees of injury. Civil Defense personnel provided immediate first aid at the various incident sites before coordinating the transfer of the injured to hospitals for specialized medical care. In addition to medical support, the teams worked to clear debris and secure the affected roadways to ensure public safety and prevent further incidents.
In a parallel series of operations, Civil Defense crews were deployed to combat 37 fires reported across multiple regions. The outbreaks involved a variety of locations and materials, including residential homes, commercial shops, electrical wiring networks, as well as fires involving vegetation, trees, and waste. The teams successfully extinguished the flames and carried out cooling operations at each site to eliminate the risk of reignition. These fires resulted in injuries to two civilians, who received the necessary medical attention on-site, while the remaining damage was limited to property.
This spike in emergency calls follows a similar trend reported the previous day, Thursday, which saw incidents result in one death and 33 injuries due to comparable traffic accidents and fires across several provinces.
Syrian Civil Defense teams continue to emphasize their ongoing state of high readiness to respond quickly to incoming reports. Their operations remain focused on providing initial medical support and managing disasters and accidents resulting from both daily conditions and emergency factors, with the primary objective of safeguarding citizens and protecting both public and private property across all Syrian regions.
