Ministry of Energy Commissions Al-Luj Water Station in Idlib

The Syrian Ministry of Energy has announced that the Al-Luj water station has officially entered service. The commissioning follows the completion of comprehensive rehabilitation works that addressed the facility’s water and operational systems.

This project is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to strengthen essential service infrastructure and secure basic needs for citizens across various regions of Syria. As a vital facility, the Al-Luj water station plays a critical role in the region’s water supply. The recent rehabilitation was specifically designed to enhance pumping efficiency and ensure a consistent water supply for the local population.

It is estimated that approximately 300,000 residents in the Jabal al-Zawiya area of rural Idlib will benefit from the restored service. This improvement is expected to contribute directly to alleviating living burdens and providing the essential water resources required by the community.

The rehabilitation process involved upgrading the station’s operational systems to increase its production capacity and ensure it meets required performance standards.
