Interior Minister Inspects Officer Cadet Course in Damascus
Syrian Minister of Interior, Anas Khattab, conducted an inspection visit on Thursday to the Trainer Preparation Institute in Damascus. The visit was part of an ongoing review of the educational progress and approved training programs currently underway at the facility.
Minister Khattab was accompanied by the Assistant Minister of Interior for Manpower Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Hussam Al-Sheikh Fattouh, and the Director of the Rehabilitation and Training Department, Dr. Hussein Salman. The delegation visited the institute to assess the qualification standards of the first officer cadet course held since the region’s liberation.
During the visit, Minister Khattab met with the director of the institute, Colonel Abdullah Ayman Al-Maghrabl, as well as the students enrolled in the training program. Discussions focused on the core components of professional and practical qualification. The Minister emphasized the critical importance of elevating the competence of the personnel and maintaining strict adherence to the highest standards of military discipline. He noted that such rigor is essential to ensuring the development of institutional and field performance within the internal security forces.
This course, which commenced on May 21, marks the first of its kind following the liberation operations and is specifically tailored for university and technical degree holders. The institute’s curriculum and training programs place a heavy emphasis on legal and security qualifications, in addition to honing leadership and field skills. The objective is to prepare new cadres to join various units of the internal security forces, enabling them to effectively carry out their duties in maintaining law, order, and regional stability.
The visit is part of a series of field inspections conducted by the Ministry of Interior to monitor rehabilitation and training institutes. These visits aim to ensure that training curricula and programs remain aligned with the current and future requirements of state security institutions, ultimately enhancing the operational readiness of personnel and officers across various field and administrative specializations.
