Damascus Health Directorate Announces Tender for Medical Supplies
The General Authority for Supply and Procurement has officially announced an internal tender for the procurement and delivery of medical dressing materials intended for the Ministry of Health, specifically for the Damascus Health Directorate. This initiative is being conducted in accordance with the technical, financial, and legal specifications detailed in the tender documents under reference number 089-C-2026.
This call for bids is part of ongoing efforts to bolster and secure the medical consumables and equipment necessary to maintain the continuity of health services within the capital, Damascus. The Authority has set Sunday, September 20, 2026, as the final deadline for the submission of proposals. Bids must be delivered by hand in sealed and stamped envelopes to the office of the General Authority for Supply and Procurement in Damascus.
Under the terms of the tender, applicants are required to submit their proposals in three separate envelopes enclosed within a single outer package. The first envelope must contain supporting legal documentation and the receipt for the initial bid bond. The second envelope should house the technical proposal, while the third must contain the financial offer. The Authority emphasized that any submissions lacking the initial bid bond receipt in the first envelope will be automatically rejected.
Regarding financial obligations, the Authority clarified that the final performance bond is set at 10% of the total contract value, payable within 15 calendar days from the date of the commencement order. A penalty for delays has been established at 0.001 of the total value of the materials for each day of delay, provided that the total penalty does not exceed 20% of the contract value. Bidders are required to remain committed to their offers for a period of 90 calendar days, starting the day after the deadline for bid submissions. The duration for the execution of the contract is set at one month from the date of the commencement order.
Interested parties may obtain the tender documents from the General Authority for Supply and Procurement headquarters, located at the former General Organization for Free Zones building in Damascus. The documents are available for a fee of 1,500 Syrian pounds, with an electronic payment option available via “Sham Cash.” Upon completion, the materials are to be delivered to the Central Consumables and Medical Equipment Warehouse affiliated with the Damascus Health Directorate. The tender allows for the splitting of bids.
