The exhibition occupied a total display area exceeding 10,000 square meters. Furthermore, the event drew international interest with participants from Turkey, China, Lebanon, and Egypt, highlighting regional and international attention toward the Syrian market and its leather manufacturing sector.

The exhibition serves as a key platform for advancing the Syrian industry by showcasing developments in local footwear and leather manufacturing. Organizers emphasized the importance of revitalizing this sector, describing it as a vital contributor to the national economy, essential for enhancing domestic production, and a source of new employment opportunities for the national workforce.

During the opening ceremony held on October 8, the Assistant Minister of Economy and Industry, Mohammed Yassin Houriya, noted that the series of specialized exhibitions organized by the ministry is part of a comprehensive strategic plan to bolster the local economy. These events are designed to improve Syrian products and increase their competitiveness in global markets, thereby contributing to industrial growth and helping restore the status of Syrian industry on the international industrial map.

The extensive participation of companies in the “Dahab Expo” reflects the resilience and vitality of the Syrian industrial sector despite various economic challenges. Throughout the event, participants showcased a diverse range of leather products tailored for the upcoming autumn and winter 2026 season. The presentations focused on quality and design innovation, aligning with broader efforts to enhance Syrian exports and support the stability of national production.
