Syrian Foreign Minister Arrives in Manama for Official Visit

Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Assad Hassan Al-Shaibani, arrived in the Bahraini capital, Manama, on Sunday. The visit is part of a diplomatic tour focused on advancing bilateral relations and coordinating positions between the two nations.
Upon his arrival at Manama International Airport, Minister Al-Shaibani was received by Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani. An official reception ceremony was held for the Syrian minister and his accompanying delegation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates’ Media and Communication Department stated that the visit aims to strengthen the ties of cooperation between Syria and the Kingdom of Bahrain. Minister Al-Shaibani is scheduled to hold a series of discussions with his Bahraini counterpart and other senior officials. These meetings are intended to explore ways to develop bilateral relations across various sectors of mutual interest, ultimately serving both countries’ interests and enhancing joint Arab cooperation.
This diplomatic mission follows a period of intensive activity for Minister Al-Shaibani. On the previous Thursday, he met in the city of Aqaba with Ayman Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan. The talks in Aqaba centered on reviewing Syrian-Jordanian relations and identifying avenues for their improvement, as well as discussing a range of regional issues of concern to both sides.
These ongoing diplomatic efforts form part of the broader strategy of the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to foster outreach within the Arab region. By intensifying communication channels with brotherly nations, the ministry seeks to establish practical frameworks for implementing joint agreements and to collectively address the current challenges facing the region through improved coordination.
