New Tender Announced for Aleppo Cardiac Hospital Supplies

The General Authority for Supply and Procurement in Syria has announced a second call for tender bids to supply laboratory materials and consumables to the Ministry of Health, specifically for the Aleppo Hospital for Heart Diseases and Surgery. The move is intended to urgently address the medical requirements of the hospital in accordance with the specifications outlined in tender document number 084-C-2026.
The tender includes several regulatory conditions for interested parties. Bidders are required to provide initial guarantees as stipulated by the financial and legal terms of the General Authority for Supply and Procurement. Furthermore, a final security deposit amounting to 10% of the total contract value must be submitted within one week of the contract award date to the requesting entity. The terms also specify that any delay in the execution of the supply order will result in a penalty of 0.001 of the total value of the materials for each day of delay, provided that the total penalty does not exceed 20% of the total contract value.
Regarding the submission process, the Authority stated that bids must be presented in three separate envelopes contained within a single sealed and signed package. The package must clearly display the tender number and the submission date, which is set for September 2, 2026. The first envelope must contain the required supporting documentation along with the receipt for the initial security deposit; the second envelope is reserved for the technical bid; and the third envelope is for the financial offer. The Authority emphasized that any bid lacking the initial security deposit receipt in the first envelope will be rejected immediately.
The deadline for submitting bids is the end of the official working day on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Bids must be delivered by hand to the office of the General Authority for Supply and Procurement in Damascus, located opposite the General Authority for Ports and Customs building (formerly the Free Zones Corporation building). Prospective bidders may review the tender documents at the aforementioned location or obtain them electronically for a fee of 5,000 Syrian Pounds via the ‘Sham Cash’ account.
The final delivery site for all required materials and consumables is the laboratory warehouse of the Aleppo Hospital for Heart Diseases and Surgery. Bidders are expected to remain committed to their offers for a period of 60 calendar days, starting from the day following the end of the bid submission period, to ensure the necessary administrative and legal procedures are completed according to the established schedule.
