Ministry of Economy and Trade Announces Office Furniture Tender
The General Authority for Supply and Procurement in Syria has announced an internal tender, numbered 110-E-2026, aimed at procuring office supplies for the Ministry of Economy and Trade – General Administration of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection. The initiative is part of an ongoing effort to update and equip the administrative offices under the ministry’s jurisdiction.
The Authority has outlined a comprehensive set of technical and financial requirements that all prospective bidders must satisfy. According to the tender documents, the initial deposit, or bid bond, is set at 1,300,000 Syrian pounds. The final performance bond is fixed at 10% of the total contract value, which the successful bidder must remit to the contracting entity within 15 days of the award. The terms also include a penalty clause for late delivery, stipulating a fine of one-thousandth (0.001) of the material value for every day of delay, capped at 20% of the total contract price.
The project timeline mandates a delivery period of 30 calendar days, effective from the date the official order is issued. Bidders are required to maintain the validity of their offers for a period of three months, starting from the day following the close of the submission period. The deadline for submitting bids is set for Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at the end of the official working day.
Submissions must be presented in three separate, sealed envelopes—containing supporting documentation, the technical proposal, and the financial bid—all enclosed within a single, sealed master envelope addressed to the General Authority for Supply and Procurement. The envelope must clearly state the tender number and date. The Authority emphasized that any bid lacking the initial deposit receipt in the first envelope or failing to meet the specified conditions will be disqualified and excluded from consideration.
Interested parties may obtain the tender documentation by visiting the headquarters of the General Authority for Supply and Procurement in Damascus, located in the former General Organization for Free Zones building, opposite the General Authority for Customs building. The cost of the tender file is 50 USD, with an electronic payment option available via the “Sham Cash” account.
