Minister of Agriculture Discusses Support for As-Suwayda Sector
Syrian Minister of Agriculture, Bassel Souidan, held a meeting with member of the People’s Assembly, Laith Al-Belous, to examine the current state of the agricultural sector in the As-Suwayda governorate. The discussion focused on identifying key strategies to bolster local production and support farmers, ensuring that the sector remains a pillar of the provincial economy.
According to an update from the Ministry of Agriculture, the meeting addressed the specific needs of the region, emphasizing the importance of maximizing the efficiency of available resources. Previously, on the eighth of last month, Minister Souidan met with the Governor of As-Suwayda, Mustafa Al-Bakour, to discuss similar priorities. During that engagement, the two officials reviewed the primary obstacles hindering growth in the provincial agricultural industry and evaluated the necessary interventions to modernize farming practices and improve sustainability.
