Hama Workers Union Honors Over 100 Outstanding Students

In an initiative aimed at supporting educational progress and fostering academic excellence, the Hama Workers Union honored more than 100 students today, Tuesday. The ceremony, held at the union’s auditorium, celebrated the children of workers who achieved distinguished results in their basic and secondary education examinations.

George Daoud, Vice President of the General Federation of Trade Unions in Syria, attended the event and emphasized that the recognition serves as an appreciation for the students’ hard work. Among those honored were seven students who achieved perfect scores. Daoud noted that this level of success is the result of both the students’ own efforts and the support of families who provided a suitable environment for study. He further highlighted the strategic importance of Syrian students, describing them as the foundation for building the nation’s future.

Darwish Al-Naasan, President of the Hama Workers Union, explained that the event targeted a group of high-achieving students who attained record grades near perfect scores. He noted that the initiative carries a message of loyalty and gratitude toward the workforce and their families, while also highlighting the social role that unions play in supporting the families of workers.

For their part, the honored students expressed their gratitude for the encouraging initiative. They emphasized that the support received from both their families and their educators was the primary factor in reaching this level of success and distinction.

This recognition is part of the Hama Workers Union’s ongoing strategy to promote the cultural and social development of its members. By supporting the academic pursuits of their children, the union aims to encourage continued creativity and excellence across various stages of education.
