Diverse Cultural and Artistic Events Across Syria on Sept 15, 2026
Cultural centers and relevant institutions across Syrian provinces are set to host a wide range of activities on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. These events will cover diverse aspects of cultural, social, and scientific life.
In the capital, Damascus, the Arab Cultural Center in Al-Midan will feature a lecture on Islamic psychology by Dr. Mohammed Abu Hilal. The headquarters of the General Union of Palestinian Writers and Authors will host a poetry evening featuring several prominent female poets. Addressing technological advancements in the agricultural sector, engineer Iman Al-Rifai will conduct a specialized lecture at the Arab Cultural Center in Al-Adawi. In the arts, the “Warda Masar” space will present a Syrian film program titled “Syrian Films Return Home,” running alongside various cinematic screenings at Cinema City.
In Rif Dimashq, specifically in Al-Kiswah, an industrial high school will host a dialogue seminar focusing on the dangers of drug addiction, featuring legal experts and specialists. In Homs, cultural life will blend religious chanting with educational seminars, as the Culture Palace hosts a concert by Munshids Mohammed Abu Ratib and Musa Mustafa, followed by a seminar on educational responsibility at the Ghassan Kanafani Forum.
In Idlib, the ongoing book fair will feature a series of discussion panels focused on the role of women in community building and the historical and social development of the governorate. Additionally, the Al-Nafora Hall will host a large-scale poetry evening featuring a number of local poets.
Activities in Tartus will include storytelling sessions, children’s art workshops, and family film screenings at the Al-Kindi Cinema. The governorate will also host a documentary exhibition organized by the “Creative Memory of the Syrian Revolution” foundation, titled “Detainees and the Missing: Art Documents and the Archive Speaks.”
In Latakia, cultural highlights include the “Huroofi” event for people with special needs in Jableh, a lecture on the olive harvest season in Ein al-Sharqiya, and a poetry forum titled “Ships of Rhymes” at the Dar al-Thaqafa. Aleppo will see an intense schedule of cultural activities, including awareness lectures on education and experiences in the north, discussions on social issues at the Al-Aziziyah Cultural Center, and film screenings at the Al-Zahra Cinema.
In Deir ez-Zor and Al-Tabqa, the day’s events will conclude with a lecture on the role of women in development held in Abu Kamal, and a closing ceremony for the children’s summer club at the Arab Cultural Center in Al-Tabqa. These events underscore the vitality of the current cultural landscape, reflecting a wide range of interests including intellect, literature, community awareness, and cinema across the country.
