Al-Hasakah Agricultural Bank Continues Payments for Wheat Deliveries

The Agricultural Cooperative Bank in Al-Hasakah is continuing to process financial payments for farmers as part of the ongoing wheat marketing season. The initiative is designed to ensure that growers receive their financial entitlements in a regular and efficient manner across the province.

Operations are being facilitated through a network of 17 bank branches spread across various regions of the province to streamline procedures for suppliers.

Providing an update on the progress of these operations, the director of the Al-Hasakah Agricultural Cooperative Bank branch, Azzo Al-Hamid, explained that the payment process follows a strictly regulated mechanism. This system relies on official nominal lists provided by the Syrian Grain Establishment. Al-Hamid noted that these lists determine payment amounts based on the specific date of crop delivery, supported by financial tranches transferred periodically from the Central Bank to ensure funding remains consistent.

Regarding the timeline for these settlements, the branch director confirmed that staff have successfully completed payments for all grain deliveries marketed up to June 17. The 17 bank branches located throughout the province are working to provide all necessary facilities to accelerate the pace of payments, ensuring that financial dues reach recipients as quickly as possible.

These payment services are provided at a wide range of locations across the province, including the branches in Al-Hasakah, Tal Barak, Markada, Ras al-Ain, Abu Rasin, Al-Shaddadi, Al-Hol, Tal Tamr, Tal Hamis, Qamishli, Al-Darbasiyah, Amuda, Al-Malikiyah, Al-Ya’rubiyah, Al-Jawadiyah, Al-Qahtaniyah, and the Yarmouk branch.

These measures are part of broader efforts to support the agricultural sector in Al-Hasakah province. By providing the necessary liquidity to farmers, the authorities aim to enable agricultural producers to maintain operations and continue their work effectively for upcoming seasons.
