New Israeli Military Incursions Reported in Quneitra Countryside

Quneitra Governorate witnessed new military activity by Israeli forces on Saturday, involving incursions into several areas within the province’s northern countryside.
Field sources reported that an Israeli military force entered the vicinity of Jubata al-Khashab, specifically near the Al-Kassarat junction. The unit, consisting of several military vehicles, established a temporary checkpoint and conducted searches of passersby, which impeded the movement of local civilians in the area.
In a related development, another Israeli force carried out an incursion in the area west of the village of Turanjah in the northern Quneitra countryside. Reports indicate that during this operation, the force detained three individuals. They were released shortly thereafter, though no further details were provided regarding the motives or circumstances behind the operation.
These field developments follow a series of recent incidents in the region. On Friday, Israeli forces detained a shepherd in the vicinity of the town of Hader in northern Quneitra. The region has also experienced artillery shelling, which affected the outskirts of Al-Hamidiyeh in the northern countryside and the woods of Bir Ajam in the southern countryside. No human casualties were reported as a result of these strikes.
According to reports from the field, these actions are viewed as a continued breach of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, which regulates the situation in southern Syria. These violations encompass recurring military incursions, raids on civilian homes, land clearing operations, and repeated attacks using shells.
For its part, Syrian authorities continue to assert their rejection of these measures, declaring them invalid and without legal standing under international law. Syria is calling for the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Syrian territory in the south and continues to urge the international community to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities regarding these violations, which affect the sovereignty of the Syrian state and the safety of its citizens in the region.
