Israeli Military Units Conduct Incursions in Northern Quneitra

Military activity by Israeli forces has been reported in the Quneitra Governorate in southern Syria, characterized by a series of repeated incursions along the border strip. According to field reports, an Israeli military force composed of several vehicles entered the area on Sunday, moving along the road connecting the town of Jabata al-Khashab to the village of Ein al-Bayda in the northern Quneitra countryside.
Field observations indicate that the military unit established a temporary checkpoint on the road. During this operation, Israeli personnel inspected passersby and verified their identification documents before withdrawing from the site. This incident follows a similar movement in the same vicinity on Saturday, when Israeli forces entered the area near the al-Kassarat junction on the outskirts of Jabata al-Khashab, conducting comparable inspections of civilians before retreating.
These actions are described as part of a series of ongoing violations of the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement. Israeli forces have repeatedly crossed into areas of southern Syria, with these violations taking various forms, including the raiding of civilian homes, conducting arrest campaigns, and the leveling of agricultural lands, alongside sporadic shelling attacks in border regions.
In response to these developments, the Syrian government continues to express its firm rejection of these practices and has demanded the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory. Official Syrian authorities maintain that all measures taken by Israel in southern Syria are legally void and hold no legal effect under the principles of international law. Furthermore, Damascus continues to call upon the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities by working to compel Israel to withdraw completely from the territory of southern Syria and to cease its ongoing attacks against civilians and local infrastructure in the region.
