General Organization for Seed Multiplication Issues Tender for Insect Netting
The General Organization for Seed Multiplication, under the Syrian Ministry of Agriculture, has officially announced an internal tender for the procurement and installation of insect-deterrent netting. The project is part of a series of agricultural infrastructure initiatives aimed at enhancing the protection and quality of seed stocks within the country.
According to the tender notice, the project is being managed by the General Authority for Supply and Procurement, which is overseeing the bidding process. The technical and financial requirements for the tender, designated as number 077-A-2026, are detailed in the organization’s specific conditions book. Interested parties are invited to submit their bids, which must be prepared in accordance with the established regulatory framework for government procurement.
The administrative requirements for participants include the submission of a primary financial guarantee amounting to $12,500 USD, which must be presented in line with the legal and financial conditions set forth by the General Authority for Supply and Procurement. Should a bid be successful, the selected contractor will be required to provide a final performance bond equivalent to 10% of the total contract value, payable within 15 days of the formal award. The contract includes provisions for delay penalties, calculated at 0.001 of the total value per day, capped at a maximum of 20% of the contract’s total cost.
The project has an execution timeline of four months, beginning from the official date of the work commencement order. Bidders are required to maintain the validity of their proposals for a period of three months following the deadline for submission. The primary site for the delivery and installation of the materials is the Seed Multiplication Organization’s facilities in Aleppo.
To ensure a transparent and standardized selection process, applicants must submit their bids in three separate, sealed envelopes containing the required supporting documentation, technical proposal, and financial offer. These must be submitted to the offices of the General Authority for Supply and Procurement in Damascus. The deadline for the submission of proposals is the close of the official business day on Thursday, August 27, 2026. The tender documentation package is available for purchase at a cost of $50 USD, with digital access options available via the Sham Cash electronic payment system. Any bids that do not comply with the mandatory documentation, including the primary guarantee receipt, will be disqualified from consideration.
