Al-Hasakah: Electricity Meter Installation Services Resume

The Al-Hasakah Electricity Company has officially announced the resumption of services for receiving and processing applications for new electricity meters. This marks the return of these services after a suspension period that lasted for more than two years.
This initiative is part of broader efforts to regulate electricity subscriptions, update subscriber records, and address the various urban changes that have taken place across the governorate over the past two years. By updating these files, the company aims to improve the management of its services and ensure that residential and commercial data are accurate.
In its official announcement, the company stated that citizens interested in obtaining or installing a new electricity meter may submit their applications directly to the Subscriber Affairs Directorate. The office is located in the Al-Nashwa – Al-Faylat neighborhood. Additionally, residents can visit various company departments and technical centers distributed throughout the governorate’s regions to seek assistance or submit their requests.
Regarding the administrative requirements, the company emphasized that specific documentation must accompany every application. Applicants are required to provide a copy of their national identification card and a copy of a neighbor’s electricity bill. The company explained that the inclusion of a neighbor’s bill is a necessary measure, as it allows technical teams to accurately identify the applicant’s location, verify the property site, and complete the technical procedures required for installing the meter and connecting the property to the electricity grid.
Management at the Al-Hasakah Electricity Company has urged all citizens seeking these services to visit the designated centers with all required supporting documents in hand. This will ensure the prompt processing of technical transactions and facilitate the swift installation of meters.
This move is considered a key component of the ongoing effort to organize the energy sector within the governorate. It is intended to stabilize subscriber data and update residential addresses, particularly in areas that have experienced urban expansion or residential shifts during the last two years. The reactivation of the meter installation service is a direct response to the needs of the local population, aimed at regulating electricity subscriptions and ensuring that citizens can access the service according to the established technical and administrative standards of the company.
