Al-Hasakah Agricultural Bank Begins Wheat Payment Processing
The Agricultural Cooperative Bank branch in Al-Hasakah has officially announced that it will begin distributing payment invoices for the wheat harvest to local farmers starting tomorrow, Thursday. This initiative marks a significant development for the agricultural sector in the region, as farmers move to receive their dues for the season’s crop.
The regional media office in Al-Hasakah confirmed that this initial phase of distribution is specifically targeted at farmers associated with collection centers in several key areas. The rollout will cover the city of Al-Hasakah, as well as the towns of Tel Brak, Markada, Al-Shaddadi, Ras al-Ain, Al-Hol, Abu Rasin, and Tel Tamer. The distribution process is organized according to the specific dates on which the crops were delivered to the facilities, following the established administrative protocols for verifying and settling accounts.
Authorities have indicated that the distribution for farmers associated with other collection centers and secondary bank branches will be conducted in a subsequent phase. This phased approach is intended to streamline the administrative workload and ensure that payments are processed in an orderly and systematic fashion.
Efforts to finalize these financial settlements have been ongoing for several weeks. Earlier this month, on the 2nd, the director of the Al-Hasakah branch of the Syrian Grain Establishment, Abdul Hamid Daoud, stated that a substantial portion of the wheat payment invoices had already been transferred to the Agricultural Cooperative Banks. At that time, the initial batches included payment lists for approximately 3,000 farmers. Officials noted that the process is expected to continue with additional payment cycles being authorized and transferred in the coming days.
This development is a critical component of the government’s efforts to support agricultural production and ensure that farmers in Al-Hasakah receive their compensation for the grain supplied to the state. As the harvest season concludes and the collection process transitions toward the final financial settlement stages, local agricultural institutions are working to ensure that the liquidity reaches the producers as efficiently as possible, sustaining the livelihoods of those who depend on wheat cultivation in the province.
