Justice Minister: Muhammad Ghamira Case Transferred to Judiciary
Syria’s Minister of Justice, Mazhar Al-Wais, announced on Thursday that the case surrounding the death of Muhammad Ghamira has been formally transferred to the competent judiciary. This development follows the conclusion of a preliminary investigation conducted by the Ministry of Interior, which addressed the administrative and professional aspects of the incident.
In a statement released via the ministry’s official channels, Minister Al-Wais emphasized that the state has monitored the investigation process with the utmost seriousness since the incident first occurred. He noted that officials had maintained a deliberate silence during the initial phases of the inquiry to ensure the integrity of the process, maintaining that the gravity of such events requires transparent pursuit of the truth and full accountability through legal channels rather than public discourse.
