Gold Prices See Slight Decline in Syrian Markets

Gold markets in Syria recorded a slight decrease in prices on Thursday, according to the official price bulletin issued by the General Authority for Precious Metals. This adjustment reflects a downward shift compared to the figures recorded during the previous trading session on Wednesday.
According to the official data released by the authority, the price of 21-karat gold fell by 50 Syrian pounds. The rate for 21-karat gold reached 16,400 Syrian pounds for sale, while the purchase price was set at 16,100 Syrian pounds.
In the same context, 18-karat gold also experienced a comparable decline. The sale price for this caliber was recorded at 14,050 Syrian pounds, and the authority set the purchase price for this category at 13,750 Syrian pounds.
These price fluctuations are part of the routine daily activity within the precious metals market. The bulletins released by the General Authority for Precious Metals serve as the primary reference point for determining gold buying and selling prices across various Syrian governorates.
Market observers monitor these changes continuously, as gold price movements are directly linked to the broader local economy. These shifts also carry significance due to their impact on the purchasing power of the Syrian pound relative to precious metals.
