Israeli Occupation Forces Detain Citizen in Southern Quneitra

On Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces carried out a military incursion in the southern countryside of Quneitra, resulting in the detention of a Syrian citizen.
Local sources reported that the operation began when a force consisting of three military vehicles entered the area. The unit proceeded toward the western side of the village of Saida al-Golan. Upon arrival, the soldiers raided and searched a civilian home before detaining the resident and transporting him to an undisclosed location. Following the detention, the military unit withdrew from the area, moving in the direction of the Abu Mathara farm.
This incident is part of a recurring pattern of violations by Israeli forces regarding the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement. The southern region of Syria has frequently experienced similar incursions and raids on civilian homes. These actions, which also include land clearing operations and shelling, are viewed as deliberate attempts to destabilize security within the region.
For its part, the Syrian state has reiterated its firm position concerning these violations. Official authorities continue to demand the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Syrian territory, maintaining that all measures and operations conducted by the occupation in the region are null and void. According to the principles of international law, these actions carry no legal standing or effect.
Syrian authorities have called upon the international community to fulfill its responsibilities regarding these ongoing practices. The state has urged the international community to take effective action to compel Israel to commit to a full withdrawal from the southern territories of Syria and to cease all forms of aggression and attacks targeting citizens and their property in villages and towns situated near the separation line.
