Gold Prices See Slight Decline in Syrian Markets

Gold markets in Syria recorded a slight decrease in prices during Wednesday’s trading session. The price of a gram of 21-karat gold fell by 200 Syrian pounds compared to the rates observed on Tuesday evening.
According to the latest bulletin issued by the General Authority for Precious Metals Management, the new local market prices have been established. A gram of 21-karat gold is now priced at 16,300 Syrian pounds for sale and 16,000 Syrian pounds for purchase. Regarding 18-karat gold, the gram is recorded at 13,950 Syrian pounds for sale, while the purchase price stands at 13,650 Syrian pounds.
These price fluctuations are influenced by several key factors affecting local markets. Primary among these are the shifts in gold prices within global markets, as well as movements in exchange rates. Furthermore, supply and demand dynamics continue to play a central role in determining daily gold pricing levels across Syria.
This price list serves as the primary reference for precious metal valuations, as mandated by the General Authority for Precious Metals Management in Damascus. The authority utilizes these rates to regulate transactions across Syrian markets.
