Gold Prices Hold Steady in Syrian Market

Gold prices in the Syrian local market remained stable during trading today, Sunday, as various carats maintained the price levels recorded at the end of last Saturday’s session.
According to the official price bulletin issued by the General Authority for Precious Metals Management, the price of a 21-karat gold gram stood at 16,150 Syrian pounds for retail, while the purchase price for the same carat was set at 15,850 Syrian pounds.
Regarding 18-karat gold, the price remained unchanged, reaching 13,850 Syrian pounds for retail, with the authority setting the purchase price for the same weight at 13,550 Syrian pounds.
This price stability occurs within the framework of daily market activity, as goldsmiths and local markets adhere to the prices determined and announced by the General Authority for Precious Metals Management. The authority is responsible for monitoring and pricing gold jewelry and precious metals throughout the country.
It should be noted that gold prices in Syria are influenced by various domestic and international economic factors. The bulletins issued by the General Authority for Precious Metals Management serve as the primary reference for establishing official prices for daily commercial transactions across various Syrian governorates.
Economic observers and citizens closely follow these daily updates, as gold remains a fundamental tool for savings and wealth preservation amid current economic conditions.
