Syrian Information Ministry Announces Tender for Office Air Conditioning

The General Authority for Supply and Procurement in Syria has announced a new internal tender for the procurement of air conditioning units destined for the administrative offices of the Ministry of Information—General Authority for Radio and Television. This initiative is part of an ongoing effort by government institutions to improve and equip their administrative work environments.

The tender, designated by the reference number (101-E-2026), is scheduled to launch its call on October 14, 2026. Through this procurement, the Authority aims to secure the necessary technical equipment in accordance with the specifications and financial requirements outlined in the tender’s official documents.

According to the published details, interested participants must submit their bids in three separate envelopes, contained within a single sealed package. The first envelope must include all supporting documentation and the receipt for the initial bid bond. The second and third envelopes are reserved specifically for technical and financial proposals, respectively. The initial bid bond for this tender has been set at 600,000 Syrian pounds, while the final performance bond is required to be 10% of the total contract value.

The Authority has established strict timelines for the project, mandating a 45-day calendar period for completion, starting from the issuance date of the work commencement order. Bidders must maintain the validity of their proposals for 180 calendar days, starting from the day following the deadline for submission. Furthermore, the contract terms stipulate a delay penalty of 0.001 of the total material value for each day of delay, provided that the total penalty does not exceed 20% of the final contract value.

Parties interested in participating may obtain the tender documents from the General Authority for Supply and Procurement office in Damascus. The office is located in the former General Organization for Free Zones building, situated opposite the General Authority for Customs and Ports. The document fee is 50 US dollars, with an electronic payment option available via the “Sham Cash” system.

The final deadline for the submission of bids is set for the end of the official working day on Monday, October 26, 2026. The Authority has emphasized that any bids failing to meet the specified conditions or missing the required initial bid bond receipt in the first envelope will be disqualified and will not be reviewed by the tender committees.
