19 Syrian Families Return from Lebanon via Jdeidet Yabous Crossing

The Jdeidet Yabous border crossing has welcomed a new convoy of 19 Syrian families returning to their home country from Lebanon. This arrival is part of the ongoing national efforts to facilitate the voluntary return of Syrian refugees to their original cities and villages.

This latest development follows the voluntary return convoy that set off on the 27th of last month. These repatriation operations are organized through direct coordination between relevant Syrian authorities and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). These arrangements are designed to ensure that appropriate conditions are in place for the safe and dignified return of Syrian citizens to the areas from which they previously departed.

Upon their arrival at the border crossing, the relevant authorities provided the necessary facilities to the returning families. This support ensures the efficient completion of entry procedures and assists the families in their subsequent travel to their home towns and villages. The operation is part of broader efforts aimed at ending the difficulties faced by displaced persons and assisting their return to normal life across various Syrian governorates.

The Syrian government continues to coordinate the return process in collaboration with international organizations, led by the UNHCR. The state has reaffirmed its readiness to receive returning citizens and provide the necessary support to them. These efforts are consistent with national policies intended to strengthen social stability and facilitate the reintegration of returning families into their local communities.
