Water Infrastructure Rehabilitation Underway in Quneitra’s Hader

Maintenance and repair teams affiliated with the Khan Arnabah Water Unit, operating under the General Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Quneitra Governorate, are currently conducting extensive rehabilitation works on drinking water wells in the town of Hader. The project is part of a broader administrative initiative aimed at bolstering the readiness of local water infrastructure and ensuring a more stable and reliable supply for the town’s residents.

The regional water authority, coordinated through the Quneitra Media Directorate, confirmed that specialized teams have already commenced technical evaluations of the town’s newly drilled well. These initial assessments focus on the integrity of the cabling and essential pumping infrastructure, allowing engineers to determine the necessary equipment upgrades required to bring the well into full operational capacity. In addition to the work on the new well, technicians have successfully extracted the submersible pump from the eastern well in Hader. This allowed for the insertion of specialized inspection cameras to survey the subterranean condition of the infrastructure, providing the data needed to finalize a comprehensive maintenance plan to optimize the well’s future efficiency.

This ongoing work is a critical component of the company’s strategic plan to address localized service interruptions and improve the overall performance of the regional drinking water network. Officials emphasize that these efforts are designed to have a direct, positive impact on the standard of living for approximately 9,000 residents in the area, ensuring better access to clean water through modern and well-maintained utility systems. The rehabilitation process continues in stages, with the goal of restoring full functionality to the sector’s primary water sources as quickly and efficiently as possible.
