Temperatures Drop Across Syria With Heavy Thunderstorms Expected

Syria is experiencing a continued drop in temperatures today, Saturday, with readings falling 1 to 3 degrees Celsius below the annual average for this time of year across most provinces.
According to the National Center for Meteorology, the weather is characterized by instability throughout the day. Conditions are expected to remain partly cloudy to cloudy, with varying intensities of rain across different regions. Forecasts indicate the potential for heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and hail, particularly in coastal areas, which are expected to be directly impacted by this weather system. Conversely, the eastern regions, the Al-Jazeera area, and the Badia are likely to experience dusty and hazy conditions.
As night approaches, the weather will turn cool in most areas, with a notable temperature drop in mountainous regions. Increased humidity is also expected, and meteorological centers have issued warnings regarding fog formation during the night and early morning hours, particularly in the central region and parts of the northwest. Residents are advised to exercise caution.
Regarding wind and sea conditions, westerly to southwesterly winds are expected to blow at light to moderate speeds. Occasional gusts may exceed 40 km/h, while the sea is expected to remain relatively calm with light wave heights.

In Damascus, temperatures are expected to range from 15 to 27 degrees Celsius, while the Rif Dimashq (Qalamoun) region will see a range of 10 to 22 degrees. Quneitra is recorded at 14 to 25 degrees, and Daraa at 16 to 28 degrees. As-Suwayda is expected to range between 14 and 24 degrees.
