Syrian Men’s Volleyball Premier League Season Concludes Today

The Syrian Men’s Volleyball Premier League for the current season officially concludes today, Friday. The final day of the competition features two matches taking place in the governorates of Al-Hasakah and Raqqa.

According to an announcement from the Syrian Volleyball Federation, all attention is focused on the city of Al-Hasakah, which will host a match between Amouda and Khan Sheikhoun. This fixture holds particular significance for Khan Sheikhoun, as the team looks to secure a positive result that would solidify their standing as the league’s runners-up. Meanwhile, Amouda enters the game aiming to wrap up their season with a satisfactory performance.

In a concurrent fixture, the city of Raqqa will host a match between Al-Furat—currently sitting at the bottom of the league standings—and Abu Hammam. The visiting team is seeking a positive result to close out their competitive season.

It is noteworthy that the championship title for this season of the Syrian Premier League had already been decided in favor of Al-Shorta. The club secured the title after finishing at the top of the table with a perfect record, remaining undefeated throughout the season and accumulating a total of 48 points. The Army club finished in second place, trailing the champions by 11 points, while Khan Sheikhoun entered their final match of the day in third place with 35 points.

This final round marks the curtain call for a season in which Syrian teams competed at the top level of the sport. The competition saw varying levels of performance and final standings across participating clubs representing different Syrian governorates.
