Syria Focus is a multilingual digital news platform dedicated exclusively to Syria and its political, economic, security and social affairs.
Launched in 2026, the platform was created to provide specialised, continuous coverage of Syria and to make developments inside the country accessible to both Syrian and international audiences.
Syria Focus covers politics and governance, security, the economy, investment, reconstruction, infrastructure, energy, international relations, business and society.
Why Syria Focus?
For many years, international coverage of Syria was largely shaped by war, conflict and humanitarian crises. As the country enters a different phase, the range of issues requiring sustained coverage has expanded considerably.
Syria Focus was established to provide a specialised editorial focus on the country as a whole — following political developments alongside economic transformation, investment, reconstruction, energy, diplomacy, security and social affairs.
The platform aims to provide context as well as breaking news, helping readers understand not only what is happening in Syria, but also the wider developments and decisions shaping the country’s future.

A Seven-Language Platform
Syria Focus is being developed as a seven-language platform, reflecting the international interest in Syria and the diversity of audiences following its developments.
The platform currently includes Arabic, English, French, German and Hebrew, with two additional languages planned as part of its expansion.
Our multilingual model is not based on literal or machine translation. Articles are rewritten and editorially adapted for each language and audience, while preserving the underlying facts and essential information.
An article published in Arabic may therefore differ in structure, wording and presentation from its English, French, German or Hebrew edition. The objective is to produce natural journalistic content that works effectively for readers in each language.
We see each language as a window onto Syria, allowing the same developments to reach different audiences in an appropriate linguistic and editorial context.
An International Outlook
Although Syria remains at the centre of our coverage, its future cannot be separated from its international relationships.
