Gold Prices Rise in Syrian Local Market

The Syrian local market has experienced an increase in gold prices, as indicated in the latest official bulletin released this Wednesday by the General Authority for Precious Metals Management. This price adjustment reflects the ongoing volatility currently impacting precious metal markets across the country.
According to the latest data, the price of 21-karat gold rose by 250 Syrian pounds compared to the rates recorded on Tuesday. Following this update, the selling price for one gram of 21-karat gold is now 16,450 Syrian pounds, while the authority has set the purchase price for the same karat at 16,150 Syrian pounds.
The price adjustments also affected 18-karat gold, which saw a similar increase. The selling price for 18-karat gold has reached 14,100 Syrian pounds, with the purchase price set at 13,800 Syrian pounds.
Bulletins issued by the General Authority for Precious Metals Management serve as the primary reference for gold pricing within Syrian markets. These updates are part of the broader framework to regulate the trading of precious metals and to ensure prices are set in accordance with established standards.
Gold markets in Syria are directly influenced by local economic variables. The sector remains subject to the oversight and monitoring of relevant government authorities, which work to maintain stability in commercial transactions and determine daily prices for both citizens and goldsmiths alike.
