Gold Prices Dip Slightly in Syrian Markets

Gold markets in Syria experienced a slight decline in prices during Tuesday’s trading session, according to the latest official bulletin released by the General Authority for Precious Metals. This adjustment reflects the ongoing daily fluctuations observed in the trade of precious metals across the country.

According to the specified data, the price of a 21-karat gold gram decreased by 50 Syrian pounds compared to the rates recorded yesterday. The price for a gram of this karat has now stabilized at 16,450 Syrian pounds for sale, while the purchase price is set at 16,150 Syrian pounds.

Prices for 18-karat gold also followed this downward trend. The selling price for a gram of 18-karat gold reached 14,050 Syrian pounds, with the purchase price listed at 13,750 Syrian pounds.

These domestic price adjustments occur as local markets continue to monitor shifts in global gold prices, with the price of an ounce in the international market currently recorded at $4,124.

The General Authority for Precious Metals remains the official body authorized to issue approved price bulletins for gold and jewelry within the Syrian market. These official figures are utilized by goldsmiths and licensed commercial centers operating across various Syrian governorates.

It is noteworthy that gold prices in Syria are influenced by several economic factors linked to local market activity, as well as their direct correlation with the prices of precious metals on global stock exchanges. Citizens and investors in the sector rely on these periodic bulletins to stay informed of the latest price updates, which directly impact buying and selling activities within local markets.
