Social Insurance Institution Moves to Expand Coverage and Reduce Evasion

The Public Institution for Social Insurance has announced a new strategic plan aimed at expanding its protection network to include a broader segment of workers across various sectors. The initiative is part of an ongoing effort to improve institutional performance, ensure the sustainability of insurance rights, and strengthen regulatory oversight to guarantee compliance with labor laws.
The institution’s current strategy focuses on two primary pillars. The first involves intensifying field inspection campaigns to verify that employers are registering their workers with the social insurance system. This measure is intended to curb the phenomenon of insurance evasion, which deprives employees of fundamental rights related to pensions and compensation. To support this effort, the institution has deployed specialized inspection teams tasked with monitoring violations and identifying instances of undeclared labor, thereby safeguarding workers’ legal rights and employment stability.
The second pillar of the strategy focuses on simplifying administrative procedures and refining internal work mechanisms. By reducing bureaucratic burdens on both employers and the insured, the institution aims to encourage voluntary compliance with social insurance laws. The institution maintains that streamlining these processes is essential for attracting sectors that may have previously hesitated to join the insurance umbrella due to administrative complexities. The goal is to deliver services with greater transparency and efficiency.
Expanding social insurance coverage extends beyond regulatory enforcement; it is fundamentally about ensuring the rights of workers and providing them with necessary support throughout their careers. This approach serves the broader goal of fostering social and economic stability. The institution emphasizes that its ultimate objective is to create a fair work environment that ensures every worker receives their insurance entitlements in accordance with established standards. Simultaneously, it continues to update its systems and regulations to align with the requirements of the current period.
These initiatives are part of a broader policy designed to strengthen trust between the institution and its subscribers. By ensuring the equitable distribution of protection and confirming that benefits reach those entitled to them, the institution is working to secure its long-term financial solvency. Combatting insurance evasion remains a top priority, ensuring the institution retains the capacity to fulfill its obligations to the insured over the long term.
