Gold Prices See Slight Increase in Syrian Market

Gold prices in the Syrian market saw a marginal increase during today’s trading session, according to the latest bulletin issued by the General Authority for Precious Metals.

Official figures indicate that the price of a gram of 21-karat gold rose by 250 Syrian pounds compared to the rates recorded last Thursday. Following this adjustment, the selling price for one gram of 21-karat gold reached 16,400 Syrian pounds, while the purchase price is now set at 16,100 Syrian pounds.

Adjustments were also reflected in other gold categories. The 18-karat gold gram is currently priced at 14,050 Syrian pounds for sale, with a purchase price of 13,750 Syrian pounds.

This domestic price shift coincides with ongoing fluctuations within international precious metal markets. Available data shows that the price of a single ounce of gold on the global market currently stands at 4,185 dollars.

Gold pricing in Syria is strictly governed by the regulations of the General Authority for Precious Metals, which publishes periodic price bulletins. These updates are closely monitored by both merchants and the public, as local gold prices are intrinsically linked to broader economic variables and the performance of the domestic market.
