Damascus Hosts Re-Build Syria 2026 Exhibition
The second edition of the Re-Build Syria 2026 international exhibition has officially commenced in Damascus. The event, which serves as a significant platform for the construction and development sector, has attracted widespread participation, featuring 356 companies representing 27 different countries.
The exhibition aims to foster direct engagement between international firms, investors, and Syrian industrialists, providing a venue to explore future cooperation and business opportunities. Participants are showcasing their latest products and innovative technologies in the fields of modern construction and interior design, with a primary focus on addressing the current requirements of the Syrian market.
Amer Al-Samarrai, Director of the Dutch firm Candid Thermodule System, highlighted the exhibition’s importance as a vital opportunity for direct interaction with the local market. Al-Samarrai explained that his company is focused on introducing insulated and permanent concrete formwork technologies, which are intended to contribute to the advancement of Syrian construction methods.
Ahmed Arslan, Director of the Turkish company Al-Qateem, which specializes in the aluminum industry, emphasized the exhibition’s role as a gateway for understanding the specific needs of the Syrian reconstruction sector. Arslan noted that the aluminum sector is experiencing rising demand, creating significant prospects for strategic partnerships with local Syrian businesses operating in the field.
Bassel Zukour, owner of the Chinese firm Linter, a supplier of interior finishing materials, stated that the Syrian market offers promising opportunities in modern construction and finishing works. According to Zukour, the direct interaction facilitated by the exhibition with Syrian investors simplifies the exchange of expertise and the transfer of advanced technologies, supporting the country’s ongoing reconstruction and urban development efforts.
The exhibition will remain open until September 16. It is held under the official patronage of several government bodies, including the ministries of Economy and Foreign Trade, Industry, Tourism, and Local Administration and Environment. Additionally, the event is supported by the Syrian Investment Commission, the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, and various joint business councils. This high level of official interest underscores the government’s commitment to revitalizing the business sector, attracting modern technology, and bolstering the national economy and future construction projects.
