New Civil Registry Office Opens in Muzayrib, Daraa

A new civil registry office was officially inaugurated on Monday in the Muzayrib district of Daraa province. The move is part of an ongoing initiative by local authorities to expand access to government services and simplify the process for citizens to obtain official documentation by bringing service centers closer to population hubs.

Abdullah Ibrahim, Director of Civil Affairs in Daraa, stated that the new facility is specifically designed to serve the western region, which is home to approximately 96,000 residents. According to Ibrahim, the center has been equipped to handle up to 500 visitors per day. With a technical capacity to process nearly 2,000 documents and records daily, the office is expected to significantly reduce congestion and ease the administrative burden on existing service centers within Daraa city.

Amer Al-Aishat, Director of the Civil Status Department in Muzayrib, outlined the scope of services now available at the new location. The center will process individual and family civil records, as well as handle essential civil status registrations, including births, deaths, and marriage contracts.

This opening is part of a broader series of measures recently implemented by relevant authorities in Daraa. These efforts have included the rehabilitation and opening of various civil registry offices and service departments across the province. By decentralizing these functions, the authorities aim to minimize the time and financial costs citizens previously incurred when traveling to major city centers for routine paperwork, thereby enhancing the efficiency of administrative services at the sub-district level.
