Latakia University Hospital Announces Tender for Medical Supplies

The General Authority for Supply and Procurement has announced a new internal tender for the procurement of medical supplies for the third and sixth groups required by the Latakia University Hospital. The initiative, conducted on behalf of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, aims to maintain the hospital’s essential medical resources and ensure the continuity of its healthcare operations.
Interested parties are invited to submit their bids in accordance with the specifications and conditions detailed in the official tender documents. The tender, registered under the reference number 082-C-2026, was officially announced on August 18, 2026. The submission process requires strict adherence to the formal requirements set forth by the General Authority.
According to the tender specifications, the final insurance for the contract is set at 10 percent of the total contract value, payable to the requesting entity within one month of the award. The tender also outlines a late penalty clause, which stipulates a charge of 0.001 per day of the total value for any delays in material delivery, with a total penalty cap of 20 percent of the contract value. The duration of the execution will be determined according to the formal conditions provided upon the issuance of the work commencement order.
To ensure a fair and orderly bidding process, candidates must submit their proposals in three separate, sealed, and signed envelopes, all contained within a single outer package. The outer envelope must be addressed to the General Authority for Supply and Procurement, clearly indicating the tender reference number 082-C-2026 and the announcement date. The first envelope must contain the necessary supporting documentation and the receipt for the initial insurance; bids lacking this receipt will be immediately rejected. The second envelope is reserved for the technical proposal, while the third must contain the financial offer.
Prospective bidders must remain committed to their offers for a period of three months, starting from the day following the end of the submission period. The deadline for the submission of all proposals is set for the close of the official working day on Monday, September 7, 2026.
Tender documents can be obtained from the offices of the General Authority for Supply and Procurement, located at the former General Establishment for Free Zones building in Damascus. The cost for each file is 50 USD. For added convenience, the authority has enabled electronic payment options through the ‘Sham Cash’ system, and interested parties can obtain the file digitally by contacting the designated authorities. Deliveries for the procurement project are to be made to the warehouses of Latakia University Hospital.
