Syrian Bakery Establishment Continues Facility Upgrades

The Syrian Bakery Establishment is pressing ahead with its strategic plans to rehabilitate and develop public bakeries. This ongoing initiative is part of a broader effort to improve the technical status of service facilities, enhance production efficiency, and ensure the long-term continuity of essential bread production to meet the needs of citizens.

These upgrades are part of a series of executive measures implemented by the Establishment to increase productive capacity and modernize operating lines within its bakeries located in Damascus. According to data released by the Establishment, the bakeries currently operating in the capital are recording a daily output ranging between 200 and 285 tons of flour. This production level serves as a key indicator of the current pace of work directed at securing bread supplies for the public.

The current development plans focus on updating technical equipment and infrastructure across various facilities. These improvements are designed to reduce waste, improve product quality, and guarantee efficient distribution in accordance with established standards. Through these efforts, the Establishment aims to overcome technical challenges facing the production process while ensuring the sustainability of operations at all sites included in the rehabilitation programs.

These operations are being conducted as part of an ongoing commitment by relevant authorities to strengthen the bakery sector and refine operational mechanisms to ensure stable supply chains throughout the capital. Technical teams continue to carry out maintenance and modernization plans in a scheduled and systematic manner. The overarching goal is to maintain the highest levels of performance in state-run production facilities, with a primary focus on uninterrupted work cycles and meeting the rising daily demand for bread.
