Tender Announced for Digital X-Ray System at Al-Razi Hospital in Aleppo

The General Supply Authority in Syria has officially announced a call for tenders for the supply, installation, and commissioning of a digital (DR) X-ray imaging system. The equipment is intended for the Ministry of Health, specifically for use at Al-Razi Hospital in Aleppo. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to support the health sector and enhance medical infrastructure within the governorate.

The tender has been assigned the identification number 141-E-2026. The deadline for submitting bids is set for the close of the official business day on Wednesday, November 25, 2026. According to the tender requirements, submissions must consist of three separate sealed envelopes. The first envelope must contain identification documents and the receipt for the initial deposit, the second is to contain the technical proposal, and the third is to contain the financial proposal.

The authority has specified that the initial security deposit required is 1,700,000 Syrian pounds, while the final performance bond is set at 10% of the total contract value. The implementation period for the project is 75 calendar days, starting from the official order to commence work. Furthermore, bidders are required to maintain the validity of their offers for 180 days, beginning the day after the submission deadline. Contracts will include a delay penalty clause of one-thousandth of the total material value for each day of delay, capped at 20% of the total contract value.

Interested parties may obtain the tender documentation package from the General Supply Authority’s office in Damascus for a fee of 50 USD. The authority has noted that electronic payment options are available through the “Sham Cash” system. Submissions must be delivered by hand to the authority’s headquarters in Damascus in sealed, properly labeled envelopes as per standard regulations. The authority emphasized that any bids failing to meet the stipulated conditions or lacking the required initial deposit receipt will be excluded from consideration.

This procurement is part of a broader government initiative to modernize medical equipment in public hospitals, aimed at improving the quality of diagnostic services provided to residents in the Aleppo governorate.
