Syrian Post Resumes Parcel Shipping to Five Countries After 10 Years

The Syrian Post establishment announced on Thursday the resumption of its international parcel shipping services to five countries, marking the end of a suspension period that had lasted for more than ten years. This move is part of the institution’s ongoing efforts to revitalize its services, improve postal infrastructure, and facilitate the movement of international mail to reconnect Syria with the rest of the world.
The initial phase of this resumed service covers shipments to the United States, the Netherlands, Sweden, Algeria, and Qatar. According to the Syrian Post, this development reflects a commitment to expanding the scope of its international operations and overcoming the logistical challenges that necessitated the suspension of these services over the past decade.
This initiative is integrated into the institution’s broader strategic plans to modernize the communications and postal services sector. It is intended to address the growing demand from citizens and various economic sectors that rely on these services for international transactions. The establishment expects to follow this initial launch with further measures designed to broaden the list of recipient countries in the near future. These efforts are intended to enhance the institution’s international presence and serve the interests of both individual citizens and corporate entities.
The resumption of these shipping routes is part of a larger plan to reactivate and modernize technical and service facilities. It represents one component of a series of measures aimed at improving the quality of public services and streamlining logistical procedures in alignment with international standards for the postal sector.
