Syria and Algeria Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

The Syrian Minister of Interior held an official meeting in Damascus with the Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelkader Kaci-Ali, to discuss efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and joint cooperation between the two nations. The Algerian ambassador was accompanied by advisor Fateh Abu Shusha and Foreign Affairs Attaché Mohamed Bahloul.

During the meeting, the two sides explored prospects for enhancing cooperation and developing bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields of mutual interest. Both parties emphasized the importance of intensifying joint efforts to serve the interests of both nations and to strengthen the historical ties that unite them. Furthermore, the officials reviewed mechanisms to activate cooperation specifically within the sectors falling under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Interior.

Representing the Syrian side at the meeting were the Director of the International Cooperation Department, Brigadier General Abdul Rahim Jabara, and the representative of the Arab Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Mona Al-Hassan. The discussions focused on the necessary steps to improve joint coordination and develop diplomatic and security frameworks in alignment with current regional and international developments.

This meeting is part of a series of diplomatic engagements currently being conducted by the Syrian government to strengthen its relations with friendly Arab nations and elevate the level of bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
