Israeli Forces Conduct Incursions in Quneitra Countryside

The southern countryside of Quneitra witnessed a series of incursions on Tuesday by Israeli occupation forces, marking a new development in a series of ongoing violations of the 1974 disengagement agreement.
Field sources in Quneitra reported that an Israeli occupation force, consisting of two tanks and several military vehicles, advanced this morning into the Tal al-Dura’iyat area, located in the vicinity of al-Muallaqa village. According to the sources, the force conducted operations in the area before withdrawing toward its original positions.
In a related development, another incursion was recorded after midnight on Monday. A force composed of three Israeli military vehicles entered the western neighborhood of Saida al-Golan village in the Quneitra countryside. The force withdrew from the area shortly thereafter.
These field developments occur against a backdrop of escalating tensions in border regions. On Monday, Israeli occupation forces targeted Syrian farmers working in agricultural lands situated between the town of Beit Jinn and its surrounding farms in the Western Ghouta of Damascus. The incident resulted in material damage to one of the farmers’ vehicles, though no human casualties were recorded.
These military movements reflect the continued violation of the disengagement agreement by Israeli occupation forces through recurring incursions into southern Syria. These actions follow a pattern of reported violations that include raids on civilian homes, arrest campaigns, land leveling, and shelling attacks on various locations.
For its part, Syria has renewed its call for the international community to fulfill its responsibilities regarding these ongoing violations. Damascus emphasized the necessity of compelling Israel to withdraw completely from southern Syria. Furthermore, the Syrian government maintains that all measures and aggressions taken by the occupation forces in these areas are null, void, and carry no legal weight under the principles and rules of international law, while reiterating its demand for an end to the occupation of Syrian territory.
