Temperatures Across Syria Gradually Rising Starting Today

Various regions across Syria are experiencing a gradual rise in temperatures starting this Sunday. This shift follows the conclusion of a period of atmospheric activity that had impacted the country over the past few days. According to the latest data, temperatures are returning to their typical annual averages or climbing slightly above them in most Syrian provinces.

The National Center for Meteorology reports that daytime weather conditions are characterized by a standard summer pattern, with skies generally ranging from clear to partly cloudy. Residents in the eastern regions, the Jazira area, and the Badia desert should anticipate hazy conditions. During the night, the weather will remain generally pleasant, though cooler conditions are expected in mountainous areas. Authorities have issued warnings regarding the potential for light fog to form during the early morning hours in parts of the northwestern, central, and southwestern regions.

From a field perspective, winds are blowing from the west to the southwest at light to moderate speeds. However, active gusts are expected to emerge during the afternoon, with wind speeds potentially exceeding 40 km/h in central areas and parts of the eastern region. Regarding maritime conditions, wave heights remain light, reflecting general stability in coastal weather.

Temperature recordings across the provinces indicate natural variations between inland and coastal areas. Damascus recorded 32 degrees Celsius, while Hama and Aleppo reached 34 degrees. Further inland, Deir ez-Zor reached 37 degrees and Al-Hasakah recorded 36 degrees. Coastal regions, including Tartus and Latakia, recorded a maximum of 31 degrees Celsius. These figures illustrate a moderate thermal distribution across most of the Syrian geography.
